Day 3 Itinerary

1) Drive from Newport to Yaquina Head Lighthouse (25 min drive)

2) Drive to Devil’s Punchbowl (20 min drive)

3) Drive to Lincoln City for Lunch (30 min drive)

4) Drive to Cape Kiwanda (40 min drive)

5) Have dinner at Pelican Brewing for great views

6) Spend the night in Cape Kiwanda

Yaquina Head Lighthouse

This lighthouse is worth a stop for some more coastal views. Spend some time exploring the cute shops and charming town of Newport before heading up!

Devil’s Punchbowl

Devil’s Punchbowl is exactly what it sounds like, a large bowl shaped formation created by the collapse of two caves above the ocean’s surface. It’s a quick stop off the main road and can be seen from the top.

Cape Kiwanda

Cape Kiwanda is a stunning beach area full of beautiful rock formations and soft sand dunes. It’s a great place to spend the night since there are many places to purchase fuel and food. My personal restaurant recommendation is Pelican Brewing since it offers outdoor seating with beach views.
