Day 7 Itinerary

  • Arrive in the morning to the Blue Lagoon

  • Say goodbye to Iceland and take a flight home from the Keflavík Airport, only 20 minutes from the lagoon

Blue Lagoon

Iceland’s famous blue lagoon is a large, geothermally heated pool known for its milky, blue water. Is it touristy? Yes. Is it worth it anyway? Absolutely yes. Pre-booking is required and tickets can be purchased online here. The cheapest ticket includes a towel, a poolside drink, and a face mask made from the lagoon’s silica minerals. I’d recommend arriving right when they open for fewer crowds. The lagoon is only 20 minutes from the airport so it’s best to go the day you arrive or the day you leave Iceland. The lagoon will store luggage and offers free lockers to all guests. Give yourself about 3-4 hours to enjoy the lagoon.
