Arrive to Iceland in the afternoon at the Keflavík International Airport (KEF)
Pick up rental car and drive into Reykjavik for food.
Drive to Thingvellir National Park. Optional hike: Öxarárfoss waterfall
Drive to Laugarvatn Fontana hot spring pool
Drive to hotel

Thingvellir National Park
This national park is the start of what is known as the ‘golden circle’. The golden circle is a popular route in Iceland, which is included in this itinerary. Thingvellir National Park is divided by 2 tectonic plates that split apart at about 2.5 cm a year. If you have some time here, check out Öxarárfoss waterfall .
Laugarvatn Fontana
Laugarvatn Fontana is a series of geothermal pools overlooking Laugarvatn lake. The pools vary in temperatures making it perfect for every season. There is also a cafe, lockers, and showers located on site. Buy tickets here.
