Doi Suthep

This is known as one of the most famous temples in Thailand. It’s about 1.5 hours from Chiang Mai so travel there by taxi. To enter, shoulders and knees must be covered.

Yi Peng Lantern Festival

If you are in Chiang Mai in November, do not miss the Yi Peng Lantern Festival. Dates vary every year but fall sometime within the month of November. It’s recommended to book a ticket to a specific launch event in order to see a mass lantern release. Get more information about event dates and launch locations here.
